Lens.

Lens.

My lens broke on my camera. Not an expensive lens, thank goodness, but my first real lens, and a lens I had gotten used to. Lens lens lens lens. One day it just up and quit on me.
I rented a couple here and there, but was overall.. discouraged.
It made me put my camera down. I got upset about lens pricing, and picking which one was right for me.
I’ve gotten spoiled. And instead of settling for a regular old used lens to practice my composition, I let myself put my camera away for an undetermined amount of time.
Thank goodness my friend signed us up for a photography class a couple of months ago.
It was a three hour class with a lot of information I knew, but a lot I didn’t.
It got me exited again.
She had an old lens that she said I could use for as long as I wanted.
I had mild trepidation. That it wasn’t going to be good enough. Or nice enough.
I forgot how much I love taking pictures.
This lens is great for doing that.

Sometimes I forget to just enjoy things.
…And sometimes I remember.
